Here Are The 5 Best Peloton Laptop and Utility Trays
The Peloton Plus and Original is just amazing. When I first came across the Peloton, I initially didn’t know what to think. I am a spin instructor and an avid indoor cyclist, and am I cheating on my classes? I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to have a go on a friend’s Peloton, and I absolutely fell in love with it. As a die hard spinner in the past and an indoor cycling instructor for many years, I questioned the value of a workout on my own, but that soon changed. I didn’t realize how amazing the community would be around it, and the live classes are extraordinary.
Over the years, I have gotten busier and busier and struggled to get to the gym. Having the Peloton sitting with proper Peloton accessories at home ready for me at all times has helped. In recent times, I have started building my endurance up, which has meant very long sessions on the Peloton. They have been challenging, and it has taken away time from things I like to do, such as reading and watching films. There is a solution though, and it comes in the Peloton Utility Tray. Using a Utility Tray on Peloton Bike, I can now chuck a book or magazine in front of me while riding and spend time reading or even watching videos on my tablet instead of watching the clock or repeating classes.
What you can do while riding a Peloton
Personally, I am a massive fan of a class that tests my power, but doing classes like that every day is tough, and recently like I say, I have found myself riding longer endurance miles. These are hard miles still, but they are tricky because you don’t just have to be physically strong but also mentally quite strong. To build a good base of fitness, you have to work in all zones even if they can feel light. I can find two hours on the Peloton quite demanding, and I find myself getting bored and uncomfortable. So how do I keep myself going?
Reading
I absolutely love reading, and on long rides, I can find myself just pedaling along lightly. It completely distracts me and makes the time fly by. I have the rule to go into a one minute stand each time the page needs turning. Hours can go by trying to get through a good book. I can even recommend a coffee and a tablet to watch the news while riding. It’s a great way to start your day.
Watching Films and TV
Longer rides are fantastic fun and really give you time to catch up on your latest shows or watch a film. I usually set my laptop up in front of me and watch movies, and it helps the time go by, and honestly, I forget I’m pedaling sometimes as I get so engrossed in it all. Films last roughly 90 minutes, and that’s a lot of calories.
Things to be cautious of
If you are doing anything while riding, there are certain things to consider when doing rides like this. Firstly, be aware of everything around you. It’s easy for pets to be running around and children to move toys near the bike. Make sure the bike is in an apparent space, and do a little risk assessment before you start riding. Also, make sure the Peloton is secure on the floor and has a nice grippy mat. Also, always be safe when using headphones too. Make sure you can hear any alarms that might be going off in the background. I would suggest you opt for a set of Aftershock Open-Ear wireless headphones as they allow you to hear your surroundings.
How we rate a good Utility Tray for Peloton
When we look at the table Panel for Peloton Bike, we first look at the design. How does it mount, and is it going to be solid? Then we focus on quality and what it is made out of. Finally, we look for any unique features that the trays might have.
Let’s look at some Peloton bike Laptop Holders
The TFD Original Peloton Tray
(Tray is Compatible with Peloton Bike, not for the Peloton Bike +)

6 used from $53.27
The TFD is great. We’re starting strong here. Firstly the TFD tray has a great design, and it clips onto the bars just before the screen. It sits nice and close to you but not too tight that it will get in the way when climbing or when riding seated. I love the fact it is clear plastic. It means you can see straight through if you have any pets running around. The TFD has some cool, unique features. It has a cup holder, lovely touch for anyone who likes a drink while riding, coffee, of course. Also, a gripping piece at the closest point, so if anything tries to slide off, it gets caught.
Pros
- Design
- Grip Plate and Cup Holder
- Clear Plastic
Cons
- One of the most expensive on the list
I like the TFD. It’s just an efficient and good design. Looks great, and I feel it offers so much function. There’s a reason why TFD Tablet tray for Peloton Bike has to sit on this list.
The TFD Peloton Plus Tray
(Tray is Compatible with Peloton Bike Plus, not with the Original Peloton Bike)

2 used from $55.53
The second utility tray is a TFD tray also, and it deserves to be here. Unlike the standard TFD, it will work with a Peloton+ Bike. It is an entirely different design, and they haven’t stuck to the same layout. It wraps under the side of the bars at the front and clips in perfectly. It is solid to use, and like the original TFD, it is clear plastic, which I feel really works. It doesn’t have a cup holder or grips. It does have some indents in case you want to make sure nothing rolls off.
Pros
- Design
- Indents
- Clear Plastic
Cons
- For the same price as the other TFD, it’s basic
The TFD+ is lovely, and the design is excellent. I feel it works and does what is needed, but it doesn’t scrub up as nicely as the TFD for the original Peloton.
IPOW Peloton Laptop Tray
(Compatible for Peloton Bike not Peloton Bike +)
3
The IPOW is an ideal tray for the Peloton bike. It is a basic design, and it works well. Attaches in seconds, so don’t worry about any hassle fitting it. It not only is a good tray it also has a lot of options. Firstly I love the fact it has a cup holder and pen indent. The cup holder is of a good size, and the pen indent sits at the bottom, where it can grip anything that might slide off. It’s again lovely and clear so you can see straight through, suitable for safety, and looks great.
Pros
- Design, cub and pen holders
- Indents
- Clear Plastic
- Cheaper than the others
Cons
- Very basic compared to the TFD Peloton Tablet holder with the rubber grips
It’s a great alternative to the TFD if you don’t like the grips. Looks good and is simple to use. I feel it’s a good buy and the price is excellent. It works well as a laptop holder for Peloton Bike
Organizer table for Peloton Bike
(Compatible for Peloton Bike, Not Peloton Bike +)
Now, this is a great Peloton bike organizer and honestly looks fantastic. I love the IPOW and the other tables because they are clear, but this ties in with how the Peloton bike Color scheme works. It is straightforward and just clips onto the handlebars of the bike. Simple slight indent for Pens at the bottom or to catch anything slipping. A laptop or tablet can sit straight on the top.
Pros
- Design
- Indent at the bottom
- Black Plastic looks amazing
Cons
- Can see under this Peloton tablet stand
This is a great looking tray for your Peloton bike and ties in with the bike’s color. Simple to attach, lovely to look at, I rate it, it’s a great laptop tray for Peloton Bike
Adir Tablet Holder
(Compatible with Peloton Bike and Peloton Bike Plus)
The Adir table holder is like nothing on this list. It’s really an iPad and tablet holder for Peloton bike. It will fit the Peloton, and it, instead of sitting on the handlebars or Peloton handlebar adjuster, sits on your screen. It is used to pop a tablet in, and instead of looking at the Peloton screen, look at a tablet instead. The Peloton screen doesn’t work with all apps, so many people use a tablet. This is a brilliant way of watching what you want with having the screen hidden. Simple and robust design. With this Peloton tablet holder, you can only have one device on the shelf at the time. Therefore, if you decide to have two devices, let’s say a tablet and a phone on the Peloton, you would need to buy a Peloton phone mount as well.
Pro
- Design
- It doesn’t attach to the bars
- Clear Plastic
- Price outstanding value for money
Cons
- Blocks the Screen
Adir has made an interesting product here, and I can see what they want to achieve with the tablet tray for Peloton Bike. I like that it distracts you from the screen, but it does get in the way. I prefer the desk tray for Peloton Bike more than the tablet screen holder.
Final Verdict
When it comes to Utility and Laptop trays for the Peloton, you are limited to a few simple designs. This wasn’t something Peloton intended to use the bike with, but I love that you have the option to do this. Out of all the Utility trays, I like the TFD trays. They are simple, and it has just had a lot of thought put into it for the basic Peloton. Whatever you pick, you will get good value for money and a great experience out of it, but if you want the best, I’d personally go TFD. Those are excellent tablet holders for Peloton. Enjoy your new work and ride desk for Peloton Bike.
