The Best Peloton Replacement Seats – Comfortable Peloton Saddles
Let’s be honest firstly in saying Pelotons Plus and Original are excellent bikes, and they do have a great community surrounding them. When I first got my Peloton, I was excited to start riding it, and I still to this day can’t wait to get training on it. However, one thing I found was the saddle. No matter how much I tried, it just didn’t seem to meet my needs. I was getting uncomfortable after and even sometimes while riding the bike. I gave it some time, and it still didn’t seem to get much better. I tried the Peloton seat covers, and still nothing. I was getting uncomfortable after each ride. I needed to find the best saddle for my Peloton bike.
After a while and feeling disappointed in the way I was feeling, I made the call to start doing some research about the Best seats for Peloton bike. The first thing I found out was that it’s not one Peloton bike seat that fits all, we are all built unique, and all require different saddles. Obviously, Peloton can’t cater to everyone, just for the masses. I started trying different saddles and learned to appreciate the variety on the market. There were Replacement seats for Peloton bike where the pressure goes to your sit bones instead of supporting the center. Some saddles had so much cushioning it felt like I was sitting on a pillow. After doing my research, I found some amazing comfortable seats for peloton bike and some not-so-amazing saddles. In this article, I want to run through some of the saddles to use with the Peloton Bike I found on Amazon, and which was the best value for money and the most comfortable Peloton Saddle available.
What do I look for in a Saddle?
Like I say, saddles are unique to the user, and you will find what might work for you might not work for other people. Firstly, when I look at Peloton bike saddles, I’m interested in the shape. The shape will tell me where I will feel the pressure, and also it will give me a good indication of what to expect when riding it. Secondly, I look at the padding. When it comes to padding, just because there is a lot doesn’t mean it will make it more comfortable. If there’s too much, then it can have a negative effect. Then I look at special features, such as different colors or air ventilation channels, and finally, I talk a bit about the price. Hopefully it will help you figure out what seats to use with your Peloton indoor bike.
One thing to note
When changing your Peloton Saddle, make sure if the saddle is taller to compensate for the height difference by changing your seat height on the bike’s adjuster itself. It might be a gel cover Peloton saddle or a memory foam Peloton Saddle but it’s definitely vital to make the bike adjustment so you stay comfortable.
Selle Royal Lookin – Moderate
The Selle Royal Lookin is the most expensive saddle on the list, and for many of you might be a name you have heard of in the past, they have been floating around the market for years, and the saddles are all made in Italy. Let’s start with the shape. It’s a very wide saddle, which will be supporting you on your sit bones more than anywhere. The supports will add a form of flex that will feel almost like a bike with suspension, and this is a unique feature of this saddle.
The padding is prominent in some places and small in others. I like this and thought they had put time into the design of this, ensuring that you are supported on the contact points. There is quite a large amount of padding, and it will offer a lot of support, along with that suspension system under it will feel floaty. Could this be the most cushioned saddle for your Peloton bike?
The lack of air ventilation is not a great touch, but I am sure its unique cover that keeps the saddle 25-degree cooler would partially make up for the lack of ventilation. Many will find this option still a comfortable Peloton saddle replacement. The saddles come in at around $50, which is the higher end of the market, but I can see the value, and the company has not been greedy in this as it has a considerable amount of technology in it. It only comes in black and looks-wise isn’t too bad in my eyes, but it’s very wide.
Lots of padding

No Air Ventilation
Wittkop Comfort Gel Bike Saddle
The Wittkop gel seat for Peloton bike is half the price of the Selle Royal, and already by looking at it, you can see it doesn’t boast the same technology, but don’t write this saddle off just yet. It has some excellent features about it we like. Firstly it is again a large sit bone saddle. It has a nice curve to it in the design, and I feel this will hold you in place well. The structure doesn’t have a suspension system but will still offer a lot of support.
The padding is excellent in this saddle. Not only does it offer support from the padding, but it is also covered in a gel coat which softens the ride beautifully. The padding is placed all over, and I feel any Peloton indoor cycle seat replacement on this list will work for most people.
The air ventilation is a good touch but smaller than some of the other saddles on this list. That doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t ventilate. It just means it offers slightly less flow. You probably won’t notice the difference. It isn’t the best-looking saddle, in my opinion, but it is still ok. The price is about $25, and for a saddle like this, in my opinion, it is a bargain.
OUXI Peloton Saddle
The OUXI, I’m unsure what this stands for, is a saddle that has been on Amazon a long time, and many bikes shops stock these. It looks completely different from the Selle Royal and the Wittkop, and I think it looks much sportier and more like a proper bike saddle. The design is meant to replicate the feeling of a regular bike saddle just with extra support. Unlike the last two saddles, it has less reliance on the sit bones and more on the undercarriage.
The bike saddle, although made look sporty, does have a good level of padding. It’s much more supportive than your standard cycling saddle because of the added padding and also the gel coating under the surface.
The saddle looks so minimal and does look sporty and relaxed, and I like that about this. The air ventilation is excellent, and it doesn’t have a grill like the others. I feel with this saddle, if you find it uncomfortable on your sit bones on the standard Peloton saddle, this will be the one for you. On the price front, it comes in below $25, and that’s a great price point.
Less supportive than other
Velmia Peloton Saddle Replacement
The Velmia saddle is something I like. Imagine you have the Selle Royal the OUXI and then decided you wanted something in between you would get the Velmia. The Velmia is because the width and shape will offer support not only in the sit bones but also in the undercarriage for most users. The design supports a large base on a small suspension-style system spreading the impact as you ride if you are bouncing on the saddle.
The padding is very good. Not only does it offer a high level of padding, but it also offers a layer of memory foam on the top. The memory foam will help support you in places where you might be getting a lot of pressure.
The saddle offers a small amount of ventilation enough to keep you cool but not to the level of the Selle Royal. The price is $30 and the second cheapest saddle on this list with the most expensive saddle features. In my opinion, this saddle looks impressive and does offer so much that other saddles cannot.
Memory Foam coating
One of the best replacement saddles for Peloton bike, the Xmifer saddle is the most basic-looking in this list, but it has its advantages compared to the others. The design is vast, and with an oversized saddle like this, you can expect a lot of support when riding. It is shaped to be incredibly supportive and also has a suspension system similar to the Selle Royal.
Like the Velmia, it offers memory foam padding. This is favored by many riders who don’t get on with gel-coated saddles. There is a lot of padding on this saddle, and it is going to feel very spongy.
It offers no through ventilation but does say the material will pass air through. I feel with saddles like this, they can collect sweat more than a ventilated saddle. It doesn’t look as nice as the other, in my opinion. It’s very simple looking compared to the others on this list. The price is by far the cheapest at around $18.
Maybe too supportive
Every rider has specific needs in a spin bike seat depending on their riding style and body structure. So there is one single Peloton seat replacement that would fit all. But to answer this question, I would say yes, there is absolutely a more comfortable seat for Peloton for everyone. The replacement seats that are wider than Peloton seats provide extra support and more comfort for most indoor cycling enthusiasts.
Yes, but it mainly depends on your cycling style and body shape. When it comes to exercise bike seats, everyone doesn’t have the same needs. There is no such thing as “one seat fits all” for indoor cycling. Of course, the Peloton seat cushion is comfy for some riders who use the bike for 30-40-minute rides.
Measure the width of your sit bones to find the saddle with the right shape for your body. Set the saddle to the right height, saddle position is important. You can also try a Pelton replacement saddle with a cutout. A cutout redistributes pressure in the crotch and may relieve pain.
To make your Peloton Bike Saddle more comfortable, you need to set up your bike properly, get a bike fit, buy a comfortable pair of cycling shorts, use chamois cream, buy a padded Peloton seat cover, pay attention to hygiene, and stand up on the bike. This way you can make your indoor bike seat hurt less.
A Final Thought
The Peloton replacement saddles on this list are all perfect for different reasons. I feel when it comes to saddles. It’s too unique for me to say what would work best for you. I thought when I got to research them all decided if I was to go back, I’d start by using the Velmia. It’s great-looking, offers great support, and is designed to make the most comfortable seat for Peloton bike. If that saddle wasn’t comfortable enough for me, then I’d be investing in the Selle Royal.
