Handlebars of LD577 L now Pro indoor cycling bike feature built-in pulse heart rate monitoring and also comes with tablet holder and dual water bottle holders for convenience.
Additionally, the LD577 L Now Indoor cycle has a workout computer that indicates your exercise time, distance, speed, RPM and calories burned. It can also display your heart rate if you hold the pulse sensors.
And that’s just the beginning. This L Now Pooboo LD577 indoor cycle club-grade bike comes with a durable, quiet and low-maintenance belt drive system. Read on and we’ll break down the L Now LD-577 review below.
This is where I regularly update and compared this L Now indoor cycle with other bikes on the market and tell you if it is a good value. As of now (October 2020) we don’t recommend buying this spin bike because it is too expensive compared to a few other available bikes. For half the price, you can now buy the HMC 5006 which is a MUCH better spin bike featuring magnetic resistance. Or, for the same price, you can buy the Evolution Pro II which is magnetic, semi-commercial-quality and has SPD pedals.
Now that you know where we stand with this Pooboo spin bike, keep reading for an in-depth analysis. There are two L-Now spin bikes (LD-577 and D577) priced the same with identical features except for two differences, which are the shapes of the flywheel and handlebars. D577 flywheel has a regular flat shape while the LD577 flywheel is star-shaped. They both offer the same ride so I suggest you pick the one that you like the most. The link below will take you to both of these L Now spin bikes.
Currently, the L Now LD-577 indoor cycle trainer is the second-best model by this company. The brand has 7 models of spin bikes with L Now D501 in the first place featuring more durable construction and magnetic resistance technology. If you are interested to learn more about them, make sure to read our L Now indoor cycling bike reviews and comparison.

The LD-577 L Now exercise bike is made for the commercial use which means it can easily handle more than 2 hours of daily use. So, if more than one person in your family wants to exercise, the LD-577 L Now spin bike is a good choice.
Compared to other types of cardio machines featuring compact dimensions and large transport wheels, the LD-577 indoor cycling bike w/ 44lb flywheel by L Now is easy to store and move from one place to another place in the house.
The heavy-duty steel frame and 135 pounds total weight indicate how sturdy the D577 L Now exercise bike is. Unlike cheap indoor cycling bike, this L now exercise bike has heavy stabilizers to prevent rocking during exercise.
Additionally, the L Now Pooboo LD577 exercise bike has 4 adjustable foot levelers. They will help protect the floor and keep the bike stable on uneven surfaces.
But that is just a tiny part what this Pooboo spin bike has to offer. The L-Now D577 is fully commercial-grade which means it is more durable than home use spin bikes.
You can buy the LD-577 L Now indoor bike for at home use or use in a light commercial setting such as office, hotel, etc. And as far as the inseam capacity goes, this L-Now Fitness exercise bike adjusts for most users.
L-Now LD-577 Monitor:
- LD-577 monitor displays the RPM, time, cal, HR, speed, and distance.
- The monitor is not compatible with wireless HR straps.
- L-Now D-577 monitor is not backlit.
- L-Now LD577 is NOT equipped with watt tracking, preset workouts, or Bluetooth, ANT/+ connectivity.
- This workout data monitor is battery powered, and to save energy it shuts off after four minutes of inactivity.
Before I tell you the cons of LD-577 L Now bike computer, you need to keep in mind that many indoor cycling bikes in this price point, don’t even come with a monitor to start with. But thankfully, the L Now LD-577 indoor bike does include an RPM monitor.
The LD577 console is not compatible with wireless heart rate chest straps. But you can stay within target heart rate training zones as you workout by holding the pulse sensors on the handlebars.
The LD577 monitor is not also blue backlit which makes it difficult to see and track your spinning workout stats in low-light condition. Unfortunately, the monitor communicates with the RPM and Speed sensors via wire (not wireless). The wire runs along the frame which can create extra maintenance if you are not careful.
Note: While this L Now spin bike tracks many important cycling feedbacks, it does not track the watts. It also doesn’t have internal memory, Bluetooth or ANT/+ connectivity. Therefore, you can’t save daily workouts on the monitor or on spinning Apps.
However, there is an easy solution that enables you to save workout progress on the apps and also compete with other cyclists online. This simple solution includes a Wahoo sensor (search our website for spin bike computer to learn more about the Wahoo sensors).
Pedals and Q-factor:
- L Now LD-577 spin bike has single-sided toe cage pedals (no SPD elements).
- This bike has the standard 9/16″ pedals thread size.
- Pedal straps are adjustable for a safer exercise.
- The D577 Q-factor is not disclosed (estimated between 8″ – 8.2″).
LD-577 L Now cycling exercise bike features thick and solid crank arms and toe cage pedals. Unfortunately, the pedals are not SPD compatible which means if you want to use cycling shoes, you need to replace the pedals.
Thankfully, the L Now LD-577 indoor cycle has standard 9/16″ thread size. So, you can replace the pedals with pretty much any of clipless spin bike pedals (search our website for the best SPD pedals).
The Q-factor, one of the most important features when buying indoor cycling bikes is not disclosed. But we believe it is anywhere from 8 inches to 8.2 inches which is not great but acceptable.
In case you are new to indoor cycling, the q factor is the horizontal distance between the two pedals. Wide q factors tend to keep riders’ feet too far apart which can cause injuries if you have narrow hips.
L-Now LD-577 Flywheel:
- L-Now LD577 flywheel weighs 44 pounds.
- It is a 1.14-inch-wide heavy duty star flywheel.
- The flywheel has a sweat protection guard.
- LD577 bike has a fixed-wheel system.
- The L-Now LD577 flywheel is bidirectional.
The LD577 flywheel is well built with its weight at 44 pounds. This heavy-duty 44-pound flywheel provides a smooth ride with a large range of challenge to meet the needs of most riders.
Just like any other indoor cycling exercise bike under $2000, the LD-577 L Now indoor cycling bike is fixed-wheel (fixe-gear). Meaning the flywheel moves and stops with the pedals which has advantage and disadvantage.
Fixed-gear (bidirectional) flywheel advantage is that you can pedal forward and reverse with resistance and engage different leg muscle groups. The disadvantage is that you can not take a break or immediately jump off the bike until the flywheel stops spinning.
Freewheel bikes are more expensive. They work similar to bicycles. Meaning even after you stop pedaling, the flywheel still turns. So, you can jump off the bike in case of emergency or take a few second brakes whenever you want, without having to wait for the flywheel to stop.
D577 Resistance System:
- L Now LD577 bike has friction resistance system.
- The felt pad is made of heat resistant material.
- This L-Now Stationary Exercise Bike features knob adjustment.
- Resistance system along with part of the flywheel has a sweat protection cover.
- D577’s resistance knob also functions as an emergency brake.
The LD577 stationary exercise bike from Live Now Fitness has unlimited resistance system. While it is not as quiet as a magnetic resistance bike, it does provide more (infinite) resistance.
Unlike magnetic bikes, it doesn’t have certain levels of resistance. Each knob turn provides a challenging workout to suit the needs of both indoor cyclists and mimic uphill real road riding.
When buying L NOW LD-577 indoor cycling bike, you don’t need to worry about the quality of the breaking pads. They are made of good material popular for heat-tolerance and providing a quiet and smooth ride.
There is also a small protection guard above the resistance to make sure the breaking pads remain dry. Overall, it is consistent, durable and quieter than some other cheap friction resistance bikes. But it is NOT as quiet as magnetic bikes (search for the best magnetic spin bikes on our website).
- L Now LD-577 cycling exercise bike is belt driven.
- It is quiet and requires little maintenance.
- D-577 L Now spin bike is equipped with a high-quality belt box to minimize noise and maintenance.
If you have been reading this LD-577 L Now indoor cycling bike review, you already know this spin bike is belt driven. But let’s see why it is better than chain drive bikes.
Belt system doesn’t have hundreds of tiny rings and pieces like a chain do. Therefore, it breaks harder and lasts longer. But that is not the only benefit of belt driven spin bikes.
Featuring belt makes the bike quieter and eliminates the need for oiling. And if the belt is high quality like the one on the D-577 bike, it doesn’t stretch. So, you don’t need to deal with adjustment tools every week.
On top of that, the L Now spin bike D-577 comes with an ergonomically designed high-quality belt box that provides better protection during riding and sound-proof effect. Which makes it more suitable for at home and apartment use.
Handlebars and Seat:
- Offers multi-seat and handlebar adjustments
- L Now LD577 seat is 4-way adjustable.
- The seat is cushioned and comfortable.
- It has the standard seat clamp size so the replacements are available widely.
- Handlebar also has up/down and fore/aft adjustment.
- LD577 features cam and lever locking mechanism.
Designed for comfort, the L NOW indoor cycling stationary exercise bike LD577 features an adjustable seat and handlebars that move fore and aft as well as up and down so that majority of the users can acquire a safe custom fit.
And the full adjustment is the main reason this L Now LD-577 stationary exercise bike can accommodate users from 5′ to 6’4″ tall. For extra comfort, there are also two easy to reach water bottle holders to allow you to stay hydrated during the exercise.
Featuring the cam and lever locking system is relatively easier to adjust compared to the knob adjustment system. They also tighten nicely, so you don’t need to worry about the bike jostling during your indoor cycling workout.
The seat is soft and breathable with a cutout in the center to keep you cool during summer rides. So, when you buy L Now LD-577 belt drive exercise bike, you don’t necessarily need a seat cover or seat replacement.
D577 Cycle Price and Warranty:
- L-Now D577 price is around $900.
- L-Now LD-577 residential and light commercial warranty includes:
- 1-Year on all parts and frame.
- To order parts under warranty, you can only contact the seller through Amazon messages.
Depending on where you buy the L Now LD577 indoor cycling bike the price is different. On Amazon U.S, you can purchase the LD577 indoor cycle for under $900. However, on Amazon Canada, the price for these L-Now bikes are ridiculously high and I definitely don’t recommend them there as there are better options.
On Amazon U.S. you may also find the L Now exercise bike LD577 for sale sometimes, but that doesn’t happen often since there is a high demand for this L-Now spin bike.
As far as the warranty goes, this quality piece of equipment features a poor warranty. Built to last, the LD577 should have come with a comprehensive warranty that covered the frame for life or at least 5-years, and the parts/electronics for at least two years.
Note: It is one year warranty for the entire bike which is better than what Sunny Health and Fitness offers (90-days) but not as good as what brands like Sole Fitness or BodyCraft offer (you can search for BodyCraft and Sole spin bikes on this website).
Shipping and Assembly:
- The L-Now LD577 manual and assembly tools are included.
- L-Now D-577 assembly is very easy.
- L-Now LD-577 shipping is free.
- This bike ships in one box that weighs around 145 pounds.
- Expert assembly is available to order on Amazon but not included.
The L Now LD-577 exercise bike commercial standard comes with free shipping and in one big heavy box. Therefore, we suggest you ask the carrier to help bring the bike inside or unbox the bike outside and bring inside in tow pieces.
Aside from the bike, there are the L Now LD-577 assembly tools and manual in the box. So, you wouldn’t need to buy, borrow or use other tools for assembly of L Now Pro spin bike D577.
The D577 stationary exercise bike comes about 80% assembled, which is great in many ways. Remaining assembly is relatively straight-forward but still might take you about an hour.
Assembly manual is very easy to follow as long as you pay attention to detail and have little mechanical common sense. It is recommended to do the assembly with 2 people.
The parts that you need to assembly are leg stabilizers, pedals, seat, handlebars and computer. The flywheel, drive mechanism and crank arms come pre-assembled.
L-Now LD577 Pros:
If you are not able to adjust the seat and handlebars both vertically and horizontally, there is a chance you will not fit the bike for a low-impact safe and comfortable ride. Thankfully, the L Now exercise bike commercial standard is completely adjustable. The rider can move the seat handlebars in 4-directions (fore/aft up/down) to set up the bike correctly for their heights.
L NOW indoor cycling stationary – belt drive exercise bike 44LBS flywheel tracks your heart rate “HR” via pulse sensors. Knowing HR is an important factor if your doctor advises you to stay within a certain HR range. Also looking at the heart rate, you can understand which exercise zone you are. For, example 100-120 beat per minute indicates you are in health improvement zone while 120-150 beat per minute indicates you are in the fitness zone (fat burning zone).
- With 44 pounds precision machine balanced heavy flywheel the L Now LD-577 spin bike provides a smooth ride and effectively mimics the feel of a road bike.
- Durable protection guard keeps the sweat off the resistance pad and flywheel.
- Manual and tools are included with L-Now LD577 for easy assembly.
- Convenient and easy to reach dual water bottle holder.
- 350 Pounds max user weight capacity.
- Excellent consumer reviews across the web.
- 4-Way adjustable handlebars provide a customized fit for all riders.
- D577 L now Pro spin bike features commercial quality components and frame.
- Comfortable and adjustable seats allow for long workout sessions with limited fatigue.
- Belt driven system to ensure low-maintenance smooth performance.
- Built-in display unit makes it possible to plan, track and monitor your performance.
L-Now LD577 Cons:
For this price tag, I was hoping the LD-577 L Now indoor bike comes with dual sided SPD compatible pedals. But unfortunately, the pedals have toe caged, only. So, if you want to use proper clipless spinning shoes, you will need to replace the pedals. A pair of dual-sided Shimano compatible pedals cost around $40. (Search our website for spin bike pedals and shoes).
It creates noise and requires more maintenance than magnetic resistance spin bikes. Because it comes in direct contact with the flywheel and wears out after a while. However, sometimes serious outdoors biker and those who take their indoor exercise routine seriously prefer friction resistance because it offers unlimited resistance for high-intensity workouts. (Lookup our website for the best magnetic spin bikes)
- No Bluetooth or ANT/+ connectivity.
- The monitor does not track the Watts.
- A tablet (device) on the media shelf covers the monitor.
Final word on the L-Now LD-577 indoor cycling bike

The LD577 spin bike by L-Now allow you to ride in style and comfort with additional accessories and adjustment including the fully adjustable seating and handlebars, water bottle holder and the device/tablet holder.
Additionally, the L NOW Pro indoor cycling LD577 exercise bike commercial standard features a 44-pound flywheel to provide a smooth consistent pedal stroke allowing you to shatter your cycling and cardio goals while you keep track of your fitness progress on the LCD monitor.
On top of everything else listed above, the LD-577 L Now indoor cycling bike smooth belt driven features an integrated personal device holder that enables users to watch their favorite spinning videos/classes, create their own unique workout and enjoy the unlimited workouts online.
Overall the L Now indoor cycling bike LD-577 is a perfect addition to your home gym allowing you to reach your fitness goals and improve your health.

Interested in getting a resistance pad item #65 in the owners manual for LD-577. Please let me know how to order.
Your best bet is to contact the seller to get the missing part. If you bought it on Amazon, I recommend you to notify the company/seller right away. Or you can contact the seller through L Now customer service email: “LNOWBIKE@hotmail.com”
I hope it helps
Does anyone know what kind of glue to use to replace the felt brake pads? I have had two come off.
Hello Irene, thanks for stopping by
I believe the “Devcon 21045-6PK” would work well with brake pads. Search the name on Amazon and it should come first: “Devcon (21045-6PK) 5-Minute Epoxy Gel – 25 ml Dev-Tube, (Pack of 6)”.
I hope it helps
my resistance knob is locked. how do i unlock on my D577
Hello Andrew, thanks for stopping by
You would have to open screws that hold the plastic guard (there is one on the right and one of the left side of the flywheel that covers the resistance) and remove or simply inspect the resistance assembly. There is a big chance that some parts attached to the rod and resistance pad are loose.
I have model LD577 bike would like to know what battery I need to use the monitor since they’re (battery) not included.
The RPM does not show up and the timer does not count down.. am I missing a step??
Hi James, thanks for getting in touch
It’s possible the newer models don’t have an RPM reading? Unfortunately, it’s common for L-Now/Pooboo to change (add or remove) features on their bikes. If the timer doesn’t count down, I don’t think there is anything you can do to fix it. You can either send the bike and ask for a refund or contact L Now and ask them to send a new console.
I need to purchase another pedal for the L NOW PRO INDOOR BLACK COMMERCIAL EXERCISE BIKE MODEL LD577. I also need the assembly instructions and/or use manual. Can I get these from you?
Unfortunately, we don’t sell parts, we reviewed this bike years ago and don’t even recommend it anymore because there are better options for the price. I suggest you contact “LNOWBIKE@HOTMAIL.COM”, they might have the parts and manual to ship it to you. Or you can buy the pedals from other sellers on the market. As far as I remember this bike had the standard 9/16 pedal thread so replacement pedals should be widely available.
