Our Favorite Spin Bikes in Canada Are:
1. Keiser M3i Indoor Cycling Bike
The beautifully designed Keiser M3i is the best seller in the Keiser’s M Series line of indoor cycles. A Bluetooth-enabled backlit computer, tablet holder and 4-way adjustment seat and handlebars set the Keiser M3i apart from the Keiser M3 and M3 Plus.
The ability to download daily spinning data wirelessly via various apps and accurate watt tracking, along with many other unique features, make the M3i the best exercise bike in Canada.
With this indoor cycle in Canada, you can track the RPM, watt, speed, time, distance, heart rate (via Bluetooth HR straps), and more importantly, you can see your current resistance level on the screen.
All in all, the M3i stationary spin bike computer allows you to be fully aware of your performance and reach your goals easier. Thanks to the newly released Keiser BLE converter (not included), now you can connect this bike to most spinning apps including Zwift.
Unlike any other cycling indoor bike in this review, the M3i is completely made in the U.S. with top-notch standards and has gone through a proper quality check.
This best-value exercise bike in Canada comes with SPD pedals and a standard q-factor (197mm). Additionally, it has an ergonomically designed 4-way adjustable handlebar and a comfortable racing-style seat.
But what truly makes this Keiser exercise bike the best spin bike for home in Canada is its near to silent operation. An automotive-grade belt and magnetic resistance technology make this cycle into a low-maintenance and super quiet bike. Without disturbing your family, you can ride this Keiser pro spin cycle at any time of the day.
A few other noteworthy features of this commercial indoor cycle in Canada are 300 pounds weight capacity, excellent warranty, high-inseam capacity, durable lightweight frame and transport wheels for easy portability.

- Watt and RPM tracking capability
- SPD-compatible pedals for an efficient and safer workout
- Silent magnetic resistance technology
- Convenient lever adjustment
- Ergonomic seat and handlebars
- High-gear ratio and low-maintenance belt system
- Top-of-the-line commercial quality
- Convenient tablet holder and transport wheels
- Cons:
- Ride data storage on the bike is not possible
- The screen could have been bigger
2. NordicTrack S22i Studio Indoor Cycling Bike
Whether you’re looking to shed a few pounds or prepare for the road cycling adventure of a lifetime, this spinning bike in Canada has you covered. Featuring full commercial quality, this indoor cycle in Canada can bring home the training power you need no matter your fitness level.
The most durable and advanced among all Nordictrack indoor cycling bikes is the S22i Studio indoor cycling bike. This indoor cycle is perfect for any gym or in-home use.
Despite the fact that it is a relatively new model, the S22i has been seen in many exercise cycle reviews in Canada and the U.S. This solid and sturdy exercise cycle is designed to perform at the highest levels and is excellent for high intensity and steady-state types of spin workouts.
This exercise bike comes with a 32-pound aluminum and high alloy steel flywheel weighted for high inertia. It also includes a full flywheel protection guard to keep the sweat off the bearings, resistance and the flywheel itself.
There are quite a few features that set this stationary bike apart from the rest of the workout bikes in this review. Handlebars design, for example. They are multiple grips with two convenient weight holders.
The S22i spin bike seat is not the worst but could have been more padded and comfortable. Thankfully it is fully adjustable so you shouldn’t have any problem fitting the bike. And if the seat is not your favorite, you can choose one of these Nordictrack indoor bike replacement seats.
S22i is a heavy indoor cycle, I have to admit, but it does come with unique features to justify its bulky size and heavy weight. The NordicTrack S22i studio bike comes with an electronically adjustable smart incline and decline system to replicate uphill and downhill. I referred to it as “smart” because the iFit spin class instructor can change the uphill and downhill of your spin bike accordingly.
This spin bike’s pedals are not dual-sided to accommodate SPD cycling shoes, there is only a toe cage that can accommodate regular gym shoes. But thankfully that’s not a big issue because this bike has the standard 9/16″ pedal thread size.
But what really stands out about this best-buy spin bike in Canada is its computer. It’s a giant 22-inch High Definition touchscreen with HDMI and USB charging ports, plus a cooling fan and a 1-month free iFit membership.
Overall delivering an outstanding indoor cycling feel at an exceptional value, this top indoor spin bike in Canada is engineered for toughness, durability and years of maintenance-free performance.
- Pros:
- 22-inch HD touchscreen monitor that rotates to right and left
- Bluetooth, HDMI, cooling fan, and USB charging
- 24 levels of electronic magnetic resistance
- Electronic incline and decline adjustment
- Low-maintenance and quiet belt system
- Full commercial quality spin bike
- Convenient dual bottle and dumbbell holders
- Cons:
- No Tablet or phone holder
- Doesn’t synch with other applications except for iFit
- Handlebars don’t adjust forward and backward for better fitting
- Can’t save indoor rides without iFit membership
- Cheap pedals without SPD elements
3. Echelon EX-5 Indoor Cycling Bike
The Echelon EX-5 is one of the best indoor bikes in Canada and one of my choices for the best spin bikes for Zwift. It’s a solid bike that has a durable, heavy-duty crank and lots of adjustabilities, plus Bluetooth sensors built into the drive of the bike that provides your watt (estimation), speed, RPM, resistance level, heart rate, and calories.
Simply put, when it comes to obtaining a comfortable and safe workout for users between 5 feet to 6.6 feet, the Echelon EX5 spin cycle is to consider especially if you like to change between Zwift, Peloton, Echelon, and other applications. This spin cycle bike is similar to the one listed number two in this indoor bike reviews in Canada except for the fact that it doesn’t have an incline/decline system and a built-in screen.
The reason that it is ranked number 3 instead of number 4 is that it is a semi-commercial quality indoor cycling bike designed for hours of daily use, and a great option for those who can afford to have one in the comfort of their home.
If it did come with uphill and downhill technology, I would have probably ranked it in the 2nd place in this Canada spin bike comparison article but unfortunately, it doesn’t. So, if iFit, incline, and decline is what you prefer, scroll up and buy the NordicTrack S22i spin bike in Canada. If you are lucky, you might even find it for a cheaper price to purchase. But if you are a fan of the Echelon cycling platform or Zwift, I suggest you stick with this one.
Here is a summary of what you can expect with the Echelon EX-5 spin cycle bike. This exercise bike has a combination of innovative design and advanced technology for comfortable and quiet exercise.
Electronic magnetic technology combined with a belt drive system helps this cycle provide a near to silent workout which is perfect for home use, especially if you live in an apartment. You can set the bike to change resistance automatically when connected to Echelon, Peloton, or Zwift. Basically, it will change your resistance when you hit an uphill or downhill in the game or when the instructor calls out a new resistance level.
Additionally, this indoor exercise bike has a 28-pound flywheel that helps provide momentum and consistent pedal stroke, thanks to its magnetic resistance. On top of that, this spinning indoor cycling bike comes with a fully adjustable seat and handlebars, which means you can move the handlebars and seat easily to suit your body type.
- Pros:
- Magnetic resistance is virtually no maintenance and silent
- Belt drive mechanism provides smooth pedalling and is quiet
- This indoor bike connects with other cycling platforms other than the Echelon Fit
- Heavy-duty and high durability steel frame construction with up to 330-pounds weight capacity
- 4-Way adjustable and ergonomic seat and handlebars

- Cons:

With the C7, Bowflex has taken the high-tech concept behind an expensive fitness spin bike and updated it to create an ergonomic mid-range indoor cycle.
The words “best value” and “best price” fit this top home cycling bike perfectly. For less than 2000 Canadian Dollars, this indoor cycle includes some features that are usually available in pricier indoor bikes.
SPD pedals, for example, you will hardly find them in any other portable exercise bike in this price category. The same goes for the Bluetooth wireless computer that tracks the RPM, speed, watt, resistance, distance, calories, and heart rate. These specs are usually in spin bikes that cost way more.
The Bowflex C7 spin bike also features a racing-style seat and ergonomic handlebars, all of which combined to offer unsurpassed comfort along with airflow to keep you cool during a cycling session.
The handlebars and seat are fully adjustable to meet your ergonomic needs. Along with the fluid motion delivered by the 40-pound heavy-duty perimeter-weighted flywheel, the IC7 adjustments ensure minimal stress on your knees, hips, and back while delivering a highly effective workout.
It has magnetic resistance which is quieter and smoother than frictions resistance. On top of that, it synchs the resistance level to its screen so you are aware of which level you are (from 0 to 100). Also, it has a belt-driven mechanism that makes less noise compared to chain indoor cycles.
Additionally, this top stationary bike by Bowflex has two convenient to use bottle holders, dumbbell holders, and tablet holder to keep you entertained and hydrated. On top of that, it has a generous warranty, leveling feet, transport wheels, and sturdy construction.
- Pros:
- 40-Pounds flywheel powered by a smooth and silent belt drive
- Dual SPD compatible pedals come standard with toe cages and clips
- Fully adjustable ventilated spin-style seat

From top to bottom, this light commercial grade exercise bike in Canada is virtually indestructible and tough enough to be used in small offices and homes.
This professional spin bike features magnetic resistance which is more technologically advanced than the friction resistance mechanism. It is silent and virtually maintenance-free.
Additionally, this top-rated spin bike in Canada features an automotive-grade belt instead of a chain which makes it very quiet and low-maintenance. Seen on many indoor cycle reviews in Canada, the IC4 has several more noteworthy features.

The seat and handlebars move fore/aft as well as up and down so you can acquire a safe bike fit for a comfortable workout. As far as the pedals are concerned, they are dual-sided SPD compatible to fit clipless shoes and gym shoes.

7. DMASUN Indoor Cycling Spin Bike
If you cannot afford to buy the spin bikes listed above, do NOT look further because you won’t get a better deal than the DMASUN. This indoor cycle combines the quality, performance, and great looks you can desire in a design that is built as solid as it can be for this price.

What to Look For When Searching For a Spin Bike in Canada
Spin bike computer:
Depending on the individual needs, the importance of a bike’s computer varies. Some people prefer spin bikes with screens to see how they perform while some rather buy spin bikes without a computer because there is less maintenance.
If you like to keep track of your performance and spin bike monitor is an important factor for you, look for a backlit computer that tracks the RPM, speed, and also watt and resistance level if possible.
You can properly follow spinning videos and classes online only if your bike’s computer tracks these stats because the instructor leads you by giving certain RPM, or watt and resistance.
Bluetooth and ANT/+ connectivity:
Wireless connectivity is not a major factor for everyone but if you want to save your daily progress on cycling apps, it is important to make sure the indoor spinning bike you are buying in Canada comes with Bluetooth and ANT/+ computer.
Other benefits of interactive exercise bikes include online competition with other cyclists on apps like Zwift. Additionally, interactive computers are proven to add extra motivation to spin cycle workouts.
Note: Connectivity is not something to expect in budget indoor cycles. Currently, some high-end spin bike brands like Keiser manufacture their cycles with this technology.
Spin Bike Resistance:
When considering spin bikes to buy in Canada, the type of resistance is one of the most important features to check. Resistance is divided into two main categories (friction and magnetic).
The best spin bikes in Canada feature magnetic resistance while the less expensive bikes have friction resistance. The friction system makes noise and wears out and also needs changing every few years while the magnetic technology is virtually maintenance-free and silent.
A few of the spin bikes in Canada that I featured in this review come with magnetic technology. They are my favorites and have been seen in many indoor cycling bike reviews in Canada.
Note: Friction resistance is divided into two categories (leather vs wool). The leather friction is better than wool felt pads because it makes less noise and has fewer breakdowns.
Indoor Cycle Drivetrain:
No matter your fitness level, drive system (what turns the flywheel) is an important factor for an exercise bike in Canada. There are two types of drivetrains (belt vs chain).
The best spin bikes in Canada feature belt drive systems while cheaper outdated bikes feature chain drive systems. Belt-driven spin cycles are quieter and have very little maintenance compared to the chain.
Unlike a chain, the belt doesn’t require lubing and frequent adjusting. Rather than maintaining a chain which is made of hundreds of little rollers and rings, you will need to upkeep only one belt.
Note: Several belt-driven magnetic spin bikes are featured in this top spin bike reviews in Canada. They are the best home spin bikes because of their low-maintenance system and silent operation.
Spin Bike Flywheel:
Every day I come across misleading indoor spin bike reviews that say the heavier flywheels are always better and they usually recommend flywheels that weight more than 40 pounds. This concept definitely doesn’t apply to magnetic spin bikes in Canada with a high-gear ratio.
If it was correct, the Keiser spin bikes with 8-pound flywheels would have been the worst, yet they are among the world’s top-notch spin bikes. The truth is that there are three specs (flywheel, the gear ratio, and resistance) that affect the ride, not just the flywheel.
If a spin bike has magnetic resistance and a high gear ratio, it can provide a natural pedaling feel even with an 8-pound flywheel, just like Keiser M3 Series bikes. But if the bike has a low-gear ratio (with magnetic or friction resistance), it needs to have a heavy flywheel to provide you with the natural momentum.
Note: Gear ratio is measured by the number of times the flywheel turns for one full turn of the pedal. Life Fitness IC4 has 10:1 gear ratio. It means, the belt ring will make 1 turn for every 10 turns of the flywheel.
Q-Factor and Spin Bike Pedal:
When buying the best value spin bike in Canada, it is important to look out for these specs. Q-factor is the horizontal distance between the pedals. Wide q-factors tend to keep your feet too much apart from your knees and hips. Therefore, you might experience extra pressure on your joints.
Narrower q-factors on the other hand, allow your feet to remain close to each other and aligned with your knees and hips. Good stationary bikes in Canada come with less than 8-inch q-factors.
As far as the pedals are concerned, you should always look for dual-sided SPD compatible pedals. They have two sides to give you the option to ride with regular athletic shoes or with clipless spinning shoes.
Note: A few of the best spin bikes on the market in Canada that we were able to find and list in this review feature both narrow q-factors and SPD compatible pedals.
Indoor Cycle Adjustment:
This is also not an aspect to take it too lightly. Full adjustment is the key for a spin bike to properly fit you and your partner. The lack of adjustment doesn’t allow you to set up the spin bike for a comfortable and low-impact ride.
When searching for exercise bike reviews in Canada, we suggest you look for spin bikes that allow 4-way adjustment on the handlebars and the seat. You should be able to adjust the handlebars and the seat vertically as well as horizontally.
Thankfully among Amazon Canada spin bikes, we were able to find many spin cycle bikes that allow full adjustment on the handlebars and the seat. So, you can exercise without adding stress on your back.
Note: Drop handlebars, as well as armrests, are a plus. Also, check out the materials of seat and handlebar posts. The aluminum material is excellent because it is lightweight which makes it easy to adjust.
Tablet and Bottle Holders:
The lack of these specs on an indoor spin bike is not a deal-breaker because you can always buy them separately and attach them to your bike. It is one of the last features to compare when you are stuck between two choices.
Sunny SF-B1805 and Evo Pro, for example, cost almost the same and have identical features but one comes with a nice tablet holder that allows you to place your device and follow spinning videos or watch your favorite show during a spinning workout.
As far as bottle holder goes when buying an indoor cycling bike in Canada, look for the ones that are built into the handlebars, preferably dual bottle holders. They are convenient and easy to reach.
Note: For a healthy indoor cycling workout, it is recommended to drink during the workout, preferably using a washable 100% BPA-free bottle. If you need a tablet or bottler holder, check out our spinning accessories.
Leveling Feet and Transport Wheels:
Pretty much all spin bikes in Canada come with some sort of leveling feet and transport wheels. Here is why they are important and what sets some of them apart from the rest.
Leveling feet allow you to adjust the bike to your floor and have a stable and steady high-intensity workout without the unpleasant wobbling, while the transport wheels make it easy for you to move the bike from one place to another without too much effort.
What you need to look for when buying the best indoor cycling bike in Canada is the quality of the silicon wheels. Unfortunately, some bikes have low-quality short and hard material wheels that break easily and scratch the floor if you move them around the house.
Note: All the Canadian indoor cycling bikes reviewed here come with high-quality silicon wheels and leveling feet for a rock-solid spin workout.
Spin Bike Warranty in Canada:
Whether it is a stationary cycling bike, elliptical or recumbent exercise bike, the warranty matters. It says how much a brand trusts and is willing to stand with its own products.
Also, if things go wrong, you have peace of mind. Some brands such as Sole Fitness offer a really unique warranty for semi-commercial spin bikes while lesser-known brands offer only a few months of warranty for indoor exercise bikes in Canada.
Note: If you are stuck between two similar spin cycles and can’t make the final decision, I strongly advise you to compare their manufacturer’s warranty.
Who is A Spin Bike For?
The indoor cycling bikes, also sometimes referred to as “Spin bikes“, are the most intense type of exercise bikes that helps burn more calories than traditional upright exercise bikes and recumbent exercise bikes.
Unlike recumbent bikes or upright bikes, spin bikes are designed without a step-through frame. They are similar to bicycles, so you need to be able to mount and dismount the bike.
Spin bikes also don’t have backrests or wide seats to provide the support that you would normally get from an upright or recumbent bike. Additionally, on a spin bike, you need to be able to lean forward to reach the handlebars. It’s not a relaxed seating position.
Plus, on a spin bike, you should be able to pedal a heavy flywheel to get the ride started. So, overall you should have the balance to mount/dismount, lean forward, and pedal without a wide seat or backrest support to be able to use a spin bike in your home for more than just a couple of times.
Some of the benefits of indoor cycling include fast weight loss (combined with a good diet), up to 1000 calorie-burning per hour, a relatively low impact compared to running, and the ability to improve strength as well as cardiovascular health.
An important note here before you scroll down and buy one of the following spin bikes in Canada is that you should know this specific type of exercise bike is not for all ages and abilities. The only exercise bike that can support pretty much all ages and abilities are recumbent exercise bikes because of their step-through design, the position of pedals and wide seat/backrest.
Now that you’ve understood what exactly a spin bike is and who it is made for, let’s jump into reviewing the best spin bikes in Canada.
Final Word on Top Indoor Cycling Bikes in Canada
While the atmosphere and the energy at spin classes are very motivating, it’s not always practical to try to fit that extra spinning session into your daily schedule.
On top of that, most spin classes come with a heavy subscription cost. In some areas one-year spin studio fee costs as much as a good indoor cycling bike.
The subscription fee along with a tight working schedule and bad weather are some of the reasons why it is better to buy a spin bike in Canada for your home that fits you and your needs. It is always going to be there in the comfort of your home so you can exercise whenever it is convenient for you.

**So if you buy their bikes in Canada, there is no legal warranty from them at all. They may assist you if a problem arises, but it does not assure it will be free of charge since there is no legal warranty!!! At best, this is basically just a goodwill warranty on their new bikes sold in Canada. It is quite a risk to take when you are paying at times over $1,000 for an exercise bike. Somehow, no one ever talks about this when recommending their bikes.
Thanks,
Daniel
In the description on Amazon.com, the warranty is identified. On Amazon.ca, it is intentionally omitted but no evidence provided to identify or explain the lack of warranty coverage. I also contacted Amazon.ca to inquire about the website not identifying that the warranty is not valid when purchased on their site (in Canada). The client services agent directed me to the additional Asurion insurance coverage. I have no experience filing a claim with Asurion so do not know how they will handle a repair or parts replacement.
It would take further research to see if other manufacturers have the same limitation for their warranties.
GOOD DAY
Do you sell exercise bike friction strap?
