Best Overall Recumbent Bike in Canada
My colleagues have already picked the best recumbent exercise bikes in Canada and reviewed them in detail down below. But because new recumbent stationary bike becomes available every day on the market, I created the “editor’s choice” section.
It is where I will regularly update you to make sure you find the best available recumbent bike in Canada without missing the newly released good-value exercise recumbent bikes.
For this month, I have picked the Schwinn 270 as the best-value recumbent bike in Canada. The bike boasts an attractive and modern design, along with a range of impressive features that make it stand out from the rest in its price category.
What I love most about this recumbent exercise bike in Canada is its robust frame, which can accommodate users weighing up to 300 pounds and from 4’5″ to 6’6″. The adjustable seat and handlebars allow for a personalized and comfortable riding position, making it easy to enjoy extended workouts.
This upgraded version of the Schwinn 230 features sturdier 3-piece cranks, a heavier 17-lb flywheel, and a larger dual-screen 7″ monitor. The enhanced padding on the seat provides riders with additional comfort during workouts.
Customizable features of the Schwinn 270 include 29 pre-programmed workouts, and the ability to create up to four user profiles. The bike’s console is well-designed and easy to use, with two blue backlit LCD screens that display all of your important workout data, including time, distance, calories burned, and heart rate.
The console also comes with Bluetooth connectivity, which allows you to sync your workout data with the Schwinn Trainer app or other popular fitness apps like MyFitnessPal and Explore the World. I love that I can connect the bike to Kinomap or Zwift using the QZ app.
The Schwinn 270 provides a smooth and quiet ride, with a high-speed, high-inertia drive system that ensures a consistent workout experience. The bike’s 25 levels of electronically adjustable magnetic resistance provide plenty of options for users of all fitness levels.
One thing I wish this bike had was resistance controls on the handlebars, so I wouldn’t have to lean forward to reach the buttons on the screen for changing intensity. But other than, it’s a decent and great value recumbent exercise bike to consider in Canada. It also comes mostly assembled and you just need to install the stabilizers, pedals, seat, and monitor.
I don’t believe there is any other home recumbent exercise bike in Canada that can beat the quality and features for this price (less than 800 CA$). But if you believe there is a better stationary recumbent cycle in Canada that can beat my choice, please leave your suggested model and comment below.

Our Best Stationary Recumbent Picks in Canada:
1. Sole (LCR) Light Commercial Recumbent Cycle
If money is not your priority, don’t look further because the Sole Fitness LCR recumbent exercise bike is one of the most durable recumbent exercise bikes in Canada at a great value.
From an ergonomic seat to an easy horizontal seat adjustment system, this stationary recumbent exercise bike has pretty much everything you need for a comfortable and fun recumbent bike workout.
Built to last for home and light commercial use, the LCR recumbent exercise equipment is durable and strong. It can support up to 158-kg user weight and comes with smart electronically adjustable resistance.
The smart feature allows the heart rate programs to automatically control the resistance for an optimal heart rate based workout. Sole LCR stationary bike also has a very quiet drive system. So, you can cycle at home perfectly without disturbing anyone around you.
With the various resistance options, you can replicate cycling on flat roads or steep hills. While pedaling, you won’t even hear the bike as the belt drivetrain helps the bike to be ultra-smooth and quiet.
The LED monitor displays the RPM, HR, time, distance and calories. Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, you can save your daily recumbent exercise stats on compatible apps.
A few other notable features of this mid-price quality exercise bike are the high quality cushioned backrest, easily adjustable seat, and step-though design which makes it perfect for those in recovery and seniors with limited flexibility.
As I mentioned earlier in my review and comparison article, if you’re on the lookout for a high-quality recumbent exercise bike in Canada, Sole Fitness has two great options made in Taiwan: the R92 and the LCR. While the LCR model offers more resistance levels and a longer warranty, the R92 model still provides an exceptional workout experience with its range of features that are designed to help me achieve my fitness goals, and at a more affordable price.
One notable improvement in both models is the addition of new workout programs, including Manual, Hill, Fat Burn, Cardio, Strength, HIIT, and 2 Heart Rate Program. With the ability to create two profiles on the bike, I can easily switch between different workout programs without having to manually adjust the settings every time. The 3-piece cranks are also a nice improvement over Schwinn’s 1-piece cranks, providing me with a more durable and long-lasting machine.
The Sole recumbent exercise bikes also include a heart rate chest strap, eliminating the need for me to constantly hold the pulse sensor grips or separately buy a heart rate monitor. But if I don’t like to wear heart rate straps, I can still use pulse sensors.
The hand grips are built at a comfortable 30-degree angle, making them easier to hold than the pulse sensors on the Schwinn and a few other recumbent exercise bikes in Canada I reviewed. Additionally, the grips are located above the seat rather than below it, making it more convenient for users with average or shorter arms to reach them.
In terms of quality, both the R92 and LCR models are among the highest quality recumbent exercise bikes available on the market. They both feature a step-through frame design for easy access, self-adjusting pedals with straps, Bluetooth connectivity, cooling fans, tablet holders, USB charging ports, bottle holders, and speakers. They also support various applications such as Sole, Zwift, and Kinomap via QZ.
Overall, the Sole Fitness LCR recumbent exercise bike provides me with an exceptional workout experience with its range of features. While it’s a little heavy and might scratch my floor if I don’t use a floor exercise mat under the bike, it has several workout programs, a comfortable design, and durable construction, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a high-quality recumbent exercise bike at an affordable price. However, if you don’t have the budget to spend CA$ 1500, the Schwinn 270 and Nautilus R618 would be the best choice.
2. Schwinn M17 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike
When I was looking for the best recumbent exercise bikes in Canada to use and review, I had the chance to compare the Schwinn 270 and the 230 recumbent exercise bikes. I found that the Schwinn 270 has some really great upgrades that make it a better choice for users looking to take their workouts to the next level.
One major improvement is that the Schwinn 270 has 25 electronic magnetic resistance levels, which is five more levels than the Schwinn 230. This means that users have more options for their workout intensity and can really customize their experience.
Additionally, the Schwinn 270 offers 29 programs and 4 profiles, while the Schwinn 230 only has 22 programs and 2 profiles. This means that you can choose from more workout options and track your progress more easily.
Another great feature of the Schwinn 270 is its Bluetooth connectivity, which allows it to connect to apps like Explore The World and Zwift via QZ app. The dual-screen blue backlit console is also a nice upgrade, and I appreciated the built-in speakers, fans, a tablet holder, and a USB charging port.
Plus, the Schwinn 270 has a larger flywheel that weighs 17 lbs instead of 13 lbs and a better seat, making it a more comfortable and enjoyable experience overall.
This high quality stationary recumbent bike in Canada is built with a durable steel frame to endure the toughest workouts.
So, even if you tire yourself out and push to your limits during a recumbent workout, the sitting recumbent bike machine will be ready to endure your workout every time as this bike is sturdy.
The highlights of this exercise bike are the dual-track display, Bluetooth, 29 preset programs, and 25 electromagnetic resistance levels. Additionally, this indoor stationary recumbent bike includes a padded seat and awesome breathable back support.
Thanks to German engineering, the Schwinn 270 home recumbent bike is fully ergonomic from the seat to the handlebars and device holders. Everything is well-thought to provide maximum comfort which leads us to why we picked it for the best recumbent exercise bike in Canada.
You can easily adjust the seat to your preference without having to get off the bike. And unlike most compact stationary recumbent bike machines in Canada, it has dual screens. So, you can see your stats while keeping a tablet on the top-shelf.
On top of all the features I mentioned, the 270 has a “step-through” design which makes it one of the top recumbent exercise bikes for seniors. Overall, this static bike is known for its smooth ride and advanced features.
3. Nautilus R618 Recumbent Exercise Bike
The Nautilus R618 is one of the exercise bikes I owned and tried that offers a comfortable and sturdy design suitable for pretty much all levels of users that are from 4’6″ to 6’6″ and under 325 Lbs.
It boasts 29 preset workout programs so you never really get bored and has Bluetooth connectivity for those who want to interact with a virtual environment.
Some of the workout programs are heart rate-controlled which works seamlessly because it has wireless/Bluetooth connection capability, allowing you to connect you heart rate strap.
Once you start pedaling you can see statistics such as time, speed, distance, RPM, resistance level, calories burned, and heart rate. The top screen displays the current workout program, selected resistance, and the profile name.
It is also possible to set up four different user profiles so that each user can enter and save their details, seeing their progress in the last 30 days.
The bike has 12 preset workout programs, including Rolling Hills and Interval Training, and users can choose from 17 additional workout programs, totaling 29. The heart rate is displayed from 0 to 100%, with a row of heart rate guidance showing 50% warm-up, 50%-70% fat burn, 70%-80% aerobic, and 80%-90% anaerobic.
This 107-lb recumbent bike has a well-constructed design with two blue backlit LCD displays that enables you to track your workout progress and save it on the machine or your preferred fitness app, including Zwift through the QZ bridge app.
The frame is very stable during intense workouts, and two transport wheels located in front of the machine and an easy left rear handle make it easy to move and store.
The pedals feature adjustable straps and they are attached to 3-piece durable cranks which are better than 1-piece cranks, and the Nautilus R618 features a 30 lb flywheel, providing a smooth and natural pedaling motion with decent momentum.
Right now that I am writing the best recumbent bike reviews in Canada, I can’t think of any recumbent machine with such a heavy flywheel. It’s really impressive, especially considering the price.
With 25 levels of electronically magnetic resistance adjustable from the console and handgrips on the side of the seat. By using the resistant controls on the side grips, you can challenge yourself without having to lean forward every time to change your workout intensity.
The R618 also features a comfortable and multi-position adjustable seat with a layer of gel cover, which can be easily adjusted with the handle located on the side of the bike.
The airflow backrest helps users stay fresh during long summer workout sessions. The easy step-through and low step-up height makes it easier for the elderly and those in recovery to get on the exercise bike easier.
The Nautilus R618’s standout features are its comfortable and multi-position adjustable seat, easy step-through, and low step-up height. It has a sturdy and stable frame that can withstand intense workouts and two transport wheels located in front of the machine for easy movement.
The semi-commercial quality, narrow q-factor, and tablet holder + easy-to-reach bottle holder are features that make the Nautilus R618 stand out from other recumbent exercise bikes in Canada.
When buying your recumbent exercise bike in Canada, remember, that there are two Nautilus recumbent exercise bikes, the R616 and the R618. The Nautilus R618 model has several improvements over the R616 model, making it more desirable for users. The R618 model has resistance controls on the grips, a foam and gel cushioned seat for better comfort, and a tiltable dual-screen backlit console for better visibility and adjustability.
Although both models support the same user height, the R618 model can support users up to 325 Lbs, while the R616 model’s capacity is 300 Lbs. Both models support the “Explore The World” application, but for apps like Zwift and Kinomap, you would need the QZ app. However, the R618 model is slightly more expensive than the R616 model. Overall, the Nautilus R618 model is a better option for anyone looking for a more comfortable and convenient exercise recumbent bike in Canada to workout at home.
4. ProForm 235 CSX Stationary Recumbent Bike
Looking at the image of ProForm 235 CSX compact recumbent stationary bike, you might be thinking why shouldn’t I just buy this one and save 1000 of Canadia Dollars over Sole LCR. Well, there are a few reasons this small recumbent bike is less expensive and I will explain them below.
This model comes with a flat straight seat which doesn’t have ergonomic curves and cuts. Additionally, the flywheel is light. But even more importantly, ProForm customer support is one of the worst and it doesn’t have Bluetooth or wireless chest strap connectivity.
ProForm 235 inexpensive exercise bike also has a lower weight capacity (275 lbs). Even if what I mentioned doesn’t matter much to you, I still suggest you go with Schwinn 270. Because it is less expensive and had better features, also, currently (March 2023) there is no better budget recumbent exercise bike in Canada under CA$1000.
With that being said, if you prefer this ProForm recumbent, here is what you get for the purchase. This fitness exercise bike comes with an integrated bottle and tablet holder to keep your devices away from harm by placing them on the built-in shelf. Additionally, it has 18 levels of powered magnetic resistance system.
To track how your workout is coming along, you can follow the backlit multi-function LCD display. The display tracks your heart rate, time, RPM, distance, and the calories that you burn during your workout.
Working towards your fitness goals is a whole lot easier compared to a few other similarly priced exercise bikes in Canada. All in all, this is one of the top affordable recumbent exercise bikes that you can buy in Canada.
5. Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RB4631 Recumbent Bike
This exercise bike is not similar to any other recumbent bike that I listed in this most comfortable recumbent bike reviews. The main and most important difference between this one and other recumbent exercise bikes is handlebars with dual position handle grips.
It allows you not only to work on your lower body but also to work on your upper body which doubles the benefits of seated workouts. If this feature is not important for you, again, I suggest you buy the Schwinn 270 recumbent bike. It is cheaper and has a much better fitness tracking monitor. But if you want to kill two birds with one stone (workout your upper and lower body), the Sunny SFR-B4631 is an excellent choice.
This mid-range recumbent bike for home use comes with 8 manually magnetic resistance levels, a padded fore/aft adjustable seat, grippy pedals with adjustable straps. Additionally, this top-rated Canada recumbent bike supports 350 pounds weight which should accommodate most users.
A few shortcomings of this recumbent bike are its super basic non-backlit dark monitor, manual/knob adjustable resistance, no preset programs, or Bluetooth connectivity. But if you have flexibility issues or recovering from surgery that requires arm and shoulder workout, this can be a good option.
Ultimately there are many different arms and legs exercise recumbent bikes out there but combining affordability, review score, and features, we believe the Sunny Health and Fitness SF-RB4631 is the best recumbent bike in Canada that offers upper and lower body exercise at the same time.
6. Fitness Reality R4000 Exercise Recumbent Bike
One of the top sellers, the Fitness Reality R4000 recumbent bike strips away some of the frills to provide you with a great workout at an excellent price. While you sacrifice some of the bells and whistles, the combination of value and performance makes the R4000 hard to beat in the Canada indoor exercise bike market.
Like many budget exercise bikes on this list, the R4000 offers 14 levels of manually adjustable magnetic resistance from its 5-lb weighted flywheel. While it doesn’t incorporate preset workout programs to spice up your exercise routine, it does come with a nice tablet holder.
You can place your devices and follow your favorite show while burning calories. But what I love the most about this recumbent indoor bike in Canada is its frame height that makes it super easy to get on and off the machine.
So, if you are recovering and can’t bend much or you are buying a recumbent for a senior member of your family, the R4000 is for you. Without bending your knees too far, you can set on the seat and enjoy the ride.
The seat on the R4000 is also mounted on a sliding rail, which makes it quick and easy to adjust. As long as you are between 5-feet to 6-feet 3-inch tall, this exercise bike should be able to fit you without any problems.
Additionally, the R4000 recumbent exercise bike comes with an easy to reach water bottler holder. So, you can stay hydrated throughout the recumbent exercise.
Last but not least, this cardio exercise bike has a 250-lb weight capacity which should be fine for most users. It screen computer runs on batteries (included). Although it’s not backlit, it provides large numbers for easy viewing and it doesn’t need to be plugged into an outlet to work. So, you can place this recumbent exercise bike anywhere and get a good cardio workout.
7. Exerpeutic 1111 900XL Extended Capacity Recumbent Bike
One of the best deals on recumbent exercise bikes in the budget category is the 900XL. This fitness machine helps you track the basics of your progress and worths every coin you spend on it. The Exerpeutic 900XL recumbent bike is a suitable choice to monitor the essential parameters during your workout.
It tracks time, speed, distance, odometer, calories burned, and pulse. The step-through design makes it easy to sit down on the bike and start an exercise.
An essential feature of this recumbent bike is the adjustability on the pedals. By adjusting the straps you can get the right fit on the pedals when cycling to ensure you are safe and comfortable.
While it is not a folding recumbent bike, it still can be used for small apartment home workouts. It does not take a lot of floor space and comes with transportation wheels to store it away conveniently. Therefore, you can quickly move it from room to room when needed.
This recumbent bike allows you to increase your resistance to up to eight levels. The magnetic tension system ensures you have a smooth silent ride and takes off the maintenance burden that you would usually get with friction exercise bikes.
With the large backrest and seat, you can comfortably sit and work out for long hours without feeling pressure on your back. Overall, it is one of the best budget recumbent bikes in Canada that helps you start crushing your fitness goals.
8. Marcy ME-709 Indoor Recumbent Exercise Bike
Affordable doesn’t mean minimal when it comes to the Marcy recumbent exercise bike. Although there is no pulse to track your heart rate, the workout machine is decked out with a stable frame and a basic LCD computer that displays calories burned, distance, time, and speed.
You may not be able to push your workout to the next level with this budget recumbent because there are only 8 resistance levels with no preset workout. But you can do a relatively comfortable cardio workout inside your home and stay active when watching your favorite TV show.
The magnetic resistance, belt system, and 5-lb flywheel can replicate a smooth and silent ride. You can exercise any time of the day without bothering the rest of the family with annoying transmission noises.
The Marcy seat is fore/aft adjustable which ensures a custom fit for a comfortable workout. Thanks to the extra-thick padded seat, you can cycle without feeling sore or backpain. However, the seat adjustment is a pain, because every time you need to adjust the seat horizontally, you will need to get off the bike, sit/lean then loosen a knob, and then push/pull the entire rear part of the bike forward or backward.
Lastly, this affordable recumbent bike includes 12 months warranty which is not bad at all considering 350 CA$ price. Note: Marcy small exercise bike supports only up to 300 lbs and it includes free shipping in Canada.
9. Exerpeutic 525 XL Folding Recumbent Bike with Floor Mat
If you are looking for folding recumbent exercise bike reviews in Canada, you might want to stick around for this one. The Exerpeutic 525 XLR recumbent bicycle is sturdy and can be folded for storage. That makes it suitable for tight spaces.
This budget folding recumbent exercise bike allows you to enjoy recumbent exercise and when not in use, it can be stored behind a curtain, door, or even in a cloth locker. This feature makes it suitable to work out in small apartments. Thanks to its lightweight and sliding wheels, you can easily move the bike from one place to another.
The folding recumbent exercise bike has two built-in heart rate sensors that record your pulse and shows in the display provided. The display screen is small and there is no tablet holder.
But that’s’ pretty common for this design because this folding recumbent bike is aimed for the riders who prefer watching TV during recumbent exercise. So, there is a clear view in front.
The bike guarantees comfort with the large size seat which is well padded. It is designed to suit different sizes of people and is adjustable for a comfortable height.
525XLR foldable exercise bike offers 8-levels of resistance which gives novice users a good challenge to push more and work out those leg muscles. The tension control system allows you to adjust the level for a more relaxed workout and take it higher for a difficult one.
Note: If you have limited flexibility or you are thinking of buying a recumbent bike in Canada for seniors, I suggest you consider one of the recumbents that have “step-through” construction.
Mounting and dismounting this folding recumbent stationary bike may not be easy for everyone because you need to have a good balance and be able to cross your leg over the bike.
What to Look for When Buying a Recumbent Bike in Canada!
Manual magnetic:
Among the budget recumbent cycling machines, the most common form of resistance is manual magnetic. There are usually two magnets placed on either side of the flywheel.
This causes a resistance that varies depending on how close the magnets are to the wheel. This type of recumbent exercise machine has a knob to adjust the resistance manually. They are not as precise, strong, and convenient as electromagnetic indoor recumbent bikes.
If you are buying the best budget recumbent exercise bike in Canad under CA$500, there is a 99% chance you are going to get this system of resistance. The advantage of these basic stationary bikes is that you don’t need to plug the recumbent into electricity to do an indoor exercise bike workout.
Electromagnetic:
Mid-range Canada recumbent stationary bikes come with an electromagnetic resistance system. Rather than adjusting the resistance manually via a knob, a Canada home recumbent bike with the electromagnetic system allows the magnets to be moved via an on-board console.
Additionally, stationary fitness bikes with this type of resistance sometimes feature preset programs built-into the monitor. So, you have more options to do a good stationary bike workout in the comfort of your home.
You can look for this feature when recumbent bike cost is not an immediate factor. In this top-rated recumbent exercise bike review in Canada, I have included a few recumbent machines with this type of resistance. The only downside to exercise bikes with this feature is that they need to be plugged in to workout.
Smart electromagnetic:
The most advanced type of resistance is the “smart electromagnetic” system. It is usually found on high-end recumbent exercise bikes in Canada. It is similar to the “electromagnetic” system except it is smart.
Basically, what it means is that it is capable of changing the resistance automatically based on the uphills and downhills of the preset-programs. So, it mimics the terrain that you choose to ride on. Also, these good exercise bikes for home in Canada change resistance based on the heart rate.
Meaning, you can set a minimum and maximum HR and your smart seated bike machine will make sure you don’t go above or below your desired heart rate. This is an option to consider when looking to buy the best recumbent stationary bike in Canada.
Non-Backlit Monitor:
99% Of the time the best budget sit down stationary recumbent bikes in Canada are equipped with non-backlit monitors. There are several cons to be aware of when buying cheap exercise bikes in Canada that have non-backlit basic on-board consoles.
For start, they are very difficult to see the stats during the day and at night you definitely need to keep the room light on to see your workout progress. Usually, these sitting stationary bikes also don’t have preset-programs, wireless connectivity, and other advanced options.
But there is one advantage to budget fitness recumbent bike in Canada that comes without a non-backlit monitor. And that is the low battery consumption. Additionally, when using a non-backlit workout bike for home, you don’t need to drag a cable in the room to plug in the bike because usually, these recumbent bikes run on rechargeable batteries. We included a few of these models to our best buy recumbent bike reviews in Canada. You can scroll up to check them out.
Backlit Monitor:
Mid-range home exercise bikes including the best spin bikes in Canada often come with backlit on-board consoles. Depending on the model and price of stationary bikes for home use they can run on batteries (low-price), electric plug-in (mid-price), or self-charge (expensive).
What I love the most about recumbent exercise bikes in Canada with the backlit monitor is the easy workout progress reading feature. No matter how dark your workout room is, you can still see your progress without turning the room lights on.
My favorites are the electric plug-in stationary exercise bikes because they are often the ones that come with advanced recumbent workout programs. The backlit exercise bikes in Canada that consume batteries require battery replacement too often which can be costly in the long term. The very first two machines in this best Canada recumbent bike review have backlit and require to be plugged into electricity.
Seat and Backrest:
The advantage of a recumbent in-home exercise bike is the support that it offers on the users’ back. And as far as I know, all the best home use recumbent bikes in the UK, US, and Canada is equipped with the back-support.
But what you need to look for when reading our best recumbent exercise bike review is the bike’s adjustability. To get the best bike workout to buy a recumbent bicycle that allows you to adjust the seat fore/aft.
What is even more important than the seat is the backrest. So, make sure the backrest can be adjusted (tilts up and down). This way you can customize the cardio machine to comfortably benefit from the recumbent exercise bike workouts. Note: I recommend exercise bike for home use that comes with the mesh backrest. They allow airflow which keeps you cool during summer recumbent exercises.
Recumbent Design:
Perhaps one of the most important factors to look for when buying recumbent bikes for a heavy or light person is the design. Reading the top stationary bikes reviews in Canada, you can notice how often this huge spec is overlooked.
The compact recumbent exercise bikes in Canada often are equipped either with “Step-though” or “Step-over” frame structure. And here is why it is important to pay attention to this feature when purchasing a good bike for exercise: Step-through recumbents allow you to walk to the machine and sit as you would normally sit on a sofa or chair which is comfortable.
But step-over recumbent bikes in Canada force you to raise one leg off-the-ground 50-70 centimeters up and cross it over the frame which is not easy for everyone. Therefore, if you are buying the recumbent exercise bike for a senior family member or someone on recovery, I suggest you look for a “step-through” recumbent stationary bicycle. We have listed several step-through exercise machines in this top-rated Canada stationary recumbent bike review.
Canada Recumbent Bike Prices:
The price of upright, recumbent, and air stationary bikes in Canada can vary widely, from those that cost less than 300 Canadia Dollars to options that cost thousands. While it’s generally true that you get what you pay for, there are good, solid home exercise bikes in Canada that are inexpensive.
They may not offer all the features of fancier models such as smart electromagnetic and interactive monitors, but they can offer similar benefits of a gym bike.
I highly suggest you consider what you really need in an exercise bike and don’t be blinded by all the bells and whistles. For instance, if you want an exercise bike to simply lose weight and don’t want to spend too much, you can buy something like Schwinn 279 recumbent exercise bike. That type of semi-professional exercise bike is mid-price, yet offers from easy to challenging static exercise bike workouts.
Sources for Recumbent Bikes in Canada:
I found Amazon Canada to offer more options and competitive prices than most other fitness equipment retailers in Canada. But what I love the most about Amazon cardio recumbent exercise bikes in Canada is the A to Z warranty, support, and services that you get from Amazon.
No matter which lightweight recumbent exercise bike brand you pick, you always have peace of mind with Amazon Canada assurance, support, and services. However, if you didn’t want to buy direct from Amazon, then you could always look at physical fitness retailers.
But keep in mind that the prices are more competitive online because they don’t need to pay loads of costs that usually a physical store does. Overall, when looking for recumbent exercise bikes in the US or in Canada, make sure you take into account your personal requirements. If you need a bike for mildly intensive workouts to help recover from an injury or maintain your fitness, a budget or mid-range option can probably do the job.
Final Thoughts
Recumbent exercise bikes are great for building leg strength and improving fitness during recovery. Unlike upright exercise bikes and spin bikes, the recumbent stationary bikes have different positioning of the pedals in relation to the seat.
They are in front of you rather than below you which means that you work your muscles in a slightly different way. With the upright bike, your quadriceps take the majority of the load whereas with the recumbent bike it is your hamstrings and glutes that do most of the work.
Therefore if you are looking to work toward your dream body or simply stay active and healthy, using a recumbent exercise bike in Canada will definitely help. But finding the best recumbent exercise bike in Canada is not easy.

I did some research on the Sole (LCR) model and I was just about to get it and wouldn’t you know it, it’s out of stock right now on Amazon! Just my luck! I will either have to wait it out or find a suitable replacement. But I spent so much time researching.
Hello Agnes, thanks for stopping by
LCR is a good recumbent exercise bike but I strongly suggest you check out the Nautilus R616 or R618. They are truly some of the best value recumbent stationary bikes in Canada and United States.
Well, it’s not the same thing but I recommend the Exerpeutic 1111 900XL recumbent bike which is quite nice. I own one and I use it fairly often and am very happy with it. I have been using it for the past months and I am in a better shape than before, the seat is nice and comfy and I can work for a few hours even without feeling pressure on the back.
Thank you for taking the time to reply, Roberta. The Exerpeutic does look nice. I’m just going to wait another 1-2 weeks and see if my Sole is back in stock and if it’s not then I will probably go with your recommended model.
My space is tight so I’m looking at the Exerpeutic 525 XL folding recumbent bike. It looks very sturdy and doesn’t take that much space which is just what I need. People seem to like it so it’s definitely high on my list.
