Best Folding Exercise Bikes in the UK Reviews and Comparison
With a variety of adjustable features and resistance levels, both beginners and frequent users alike can train and get a great workout on a folding stationary bike. What it mostly boils down to when choosing an exercise bike in the UK, however, is what you plan to use it for.
An upright exercise bike will give you more opportunities to boost your heart rate and improve your cardiovascular health. On the other hand, a recumbent exercise bike is more comfortable, where your body is in a natural reclined position, making this type of bike generally better suited for injuries, body fatigue and soreness, or other health conditions that might require some physical therapy.
While the overall build and resistance levels of folding exercise bikes are not designed to support intense workouts for either type of bike, the main benefit of a folding bike that you don’t get with other exercise bikes in the UK is that they take up very little space and can easily be moved and stowed away after use. This list of best folding exercise bikes in the UK highlights and breaks down these features along with many others to help you find the Foldable exercise bikes for you:

Buyer’s Guide
While there are some fold up exercise bikes in the United Kingdom that seem to fit almost all sizes, there is no bike that is one-size-fits-all. Everyone has their preferences for a foldaway exercise bike, whether or not they know it yet. That’s what this guide is for – to identify some of the most important features to keep in mind when shopping for a foldable indoor bike.
Size
While shopping for foldable bikes, you will more than likely find that most, if not all, meet your needs in terms of space. This makes foldable bike shopping a bit easier than most in terms of size. But that doesn’t mean there are no variations in size among these bikes, so if the size is a determining factor for you, you will want to look closely at the dimension sizes, both folded and unfolded. Also, note that most bikes will be taller once folded away for storage. Ensure you select a bike that supports both your height and weight, and note any height and weight limits. Also, check if it’s lightweight enough for you to roll away on your own if needed, although having built-in wheels will assist with that.
Adjustability
When searching for the best value folding exercise bikes in the UK, check to see what parts of the bike are adjustable. Going off our last point on your size, you may want to purchase a bike that has an adjustable seat and/or backrest; some can be adjusted to multiple height levels, and others not at all. On the same note, you want to check that the seat moves forward or backward as needed. Some of these bikes have adjustable handlebars as well, so consider where you like to have your hands placed when cycling and if that is a critical feature for you. Look to see if there are hand grips alongside the seat for more support and balance for your arms, if you feel that they would just be in the way for you. Also, do you want your bike to be just upright or recumbent? Would you prefer it be able to transition between the two or adjust to semi-recumbent?
Workout intensity
If you want your indoor exercise bike to provide the option for an upper body workout as well, look to see if it comes with integrated resistance bands. While folded stationary bikes are not designed for super intense workouts, you should make a note of the levels of magnetic resistance that it comes with to ensure the bike is a good fit for your needs.
Other features
As mentioned, your purpose for a foldable bike might be less training-based and more for other reasons, whether general fitness, injury, or even productivity while you work. This means that many people may not be checking the monitor feedback as intensely, such as calories burned or speed. In either case, if being able to check your heart rate is an important factor for you, you will want to check that pulse sensors are built into the handlebars. Last but not least, do you prefer a bike that comes with a desktop for working? Or do you just need one with a phone or tablet holder? Exercise bikes are one of the few pieces of workout equipment that offer the convenience of multi-tasking, even if that just means staying entertained on your iPad. So, consider what you’d like to be doing as you pedal before you buy.
Conclusion
Indoor folding exercise bikes are a great way to get a good workout while taking it easy on the body and joints. Their small footprint makes them a smart, space-saving choice for anyone. Before you choose the right folding bike for your folding exercise bikes in the UK, you are sure to find one that is just right for you.
If the Exerpeutic 1000 Folding exercise bike would have a full recumbent mode it would be perfection! As it is, it’s a good model that I enjoy using but I do want a bit more nowadays
Is it comfortable? Worth the money? Are you using a laptop to work when using it?
Yes, it’s comfortable. The backrest is a bit far back and depending on your body type, it might be ok or not. It’s worth the money I think and yes, I am using it when I work on my laptop.
For anyone considering this type of bike, take a look at the Beliwin folding exercise bike. It’s well worth the buy! I got it last year and it has changed my life, literally! I am now in much better shape than I was a year ago, don’t lose my breath when climbing stairs and even get more work done if you can believe it! I think I am 20%+ more productive nowadays and this is mostly because of this bike. I can put my headphones on, get some biking done and also work on my projects.
It looks nice but seems to lack a few things like more than the upright mode for those who want to be able to change things up a bit. And the seat doesn’t seem like it can be adjusted that much. Is it?
Well the seat can be adjusted quite a bit I think. It’s enough for me. I often detach the backrest as I feel I have a better posture this way. I think it’s worth the investment if you do a lot of work from home.
Thanks a lot for the reply and details. I’ve placed an order for it on Amazon and waiting patiently (not really haha) for it to arrive so I can start biking, talking on the phone and being on my laptop at the same time! It’s going to be awesome!
