YESOUL S3 Bike Review: Great Option For Zwift and Peloton
The YESOUL magnetic indoor cycling bike represents another affordable and high-quality bike from this new fitness equipment seller. If you’ve been browsing the YESOUL indoor cycling bikes online, the first thing you’ll notice is its extremely affordable price of $450 which makes it a great value for the money.
Thanks to YESOUL magnetic spin bike’s affordable price, it has sold many bikes across the US as the spinning ride experience, reliability and quality of the bike have proven to be a solid investment for entry-level users.
In addition to its magnetic resistance and belt transmission which makes the operation of this indoor bike almost silent, it also has a very compact design. So, if you are looking for a bike for your home, it is a great spin bike under $500.
Something that makes the YESOUL magnetic indoor bike stand out from the crowd is its 100% satisfaction service and warranty. The company offers a 12 months warranty and a free replacement parts warranty. Even some of the best spin bikes on the market don’t come with such a warranty and return policy.
With everything being said, if you’re a serious indoor cycling enthusiast who wants a machine that you can push to your limits and not have any doubts about maxing out its capabilities, I suggest the Schwinn IC4 indoor cycle, it is well worth taking a closer look. Also, keep in mind the YESOUL magnetic cycling bike can support users from 4.9 feet up to 6.2 feet tall. So, if you don’t fall within the mentioned height range, this exercise bike is not a good option for you.
How Yesoul S3 has evolved from Yesoul G1
So, the Yesoul S3 is positioned as the more basic and economical model, priced at $399, while the Yesoul G1 is the higher-end option at $699. This price difference is not huge, but it still allows everyone with varying budgets to choose the model that best suits their needs.
Moreover, the Yesoul S3 has been designed to be lighter, weighing 68 lb compared to the G1’s 77.16 lb. This makes the S3 more maneuverable and easier to move around, which can be beneficial if you have limited space or need to relocate the bike frequently.
One of the significant differences between the two models is the absence of a built-in screen on the Yesoul S3. Instead, the S3 relies on Bluetooth FTMS technology to transmit your cycling data. This means you can use your own tablet or device to connect with popular cycling applications like Zwift and Peloton, providing you with the flexibility to choose the app that best suits your preferences.
While the Yesoul S3 allows you to connect with various cycling applications through Bluetooth FTMS, the Yesoul G1 operates exclusively with the Yesoul application. This can be a decisive factor for users who prefer the Yesoul ecosystem and want to enjoy the features and benefits offered exclusively through their native application.
Moreover, the Yesoul G1 boasts some extra features that the S3 does not have. These include two bottle holders that you attach below the screen for easy access to hydration during workouts and a dumbbell holder to install behind the seat, enabling users to incorporate upper body workouts in addition to cycling.
Furthermore, the Yesoul G1’s adjustment knobs are noted to be sturdier, thicker, and of higher quality, contributing to a more stable and wobble-free riding experience.
To illustrate, the Yesoul S3 has evolved from the Yesoul G1 to cater to a broader range of users with its more affordable price point, lightweight design, and greater connectivity options through Bluetooth FTMS. Its screenless design allows for versatile app compatibility, while the Yesoul G1 remains a top choice for those who prefer the exclusive Yesoul application and benefit from the extra features like bottle holders and a dumbbell holder. Ultimately, both models have their unique advantages, and the decision to purchase either one would depend on your preferences and requirements.
YESOUL S3 Alternative Options to Consider
Let’s talk about some alternative options to consider alongside the YESOUL S3 indoor bike. I know it can be overwhelming to make a decision, but I’m here to help you find the best fit for your needs and preferences.
First off, the YESOUL S3 is undoubtedly a great value spin bike, especially when you can get it on discount for under $300. If you’re within the recommended height range (4.9″ to 6.2″) and looking for a solid indoor cycling experience at an affordable price, the YESOUL S3 is worth considering.
However, if you happen to be taller than 6.2″ and have a bit more budget flexibility, the Niceday bike could be an excellent option for you. This bike offers a wider range of adjustability, accommodating both taller and shorter individuals. On top of that, it comes with some appealing features like a built-in screen, a hefty 45 lb flywheel (four times heavier than the Yesoul S3’s flywheel), and dual-sided pedals, giving you the flexibility to use either clip-in cycling shoes or regular gym sneakers.
Now, here comes my personal favorite recommendation: the Echelon EX3. I must admit, I loved this bike when I had the chance to test and review it. Compared to the Yesoul S3 and Niceday bikes, I found it to be more stable and provide a smoother riding experience. It’s often discounted and can be found priced under $500, which makes it a fantastic value for the features it offers.
What sets the Echelon EX3 apart is its superior tablet holder, which rotates, allowing you to find the perfect angle for your workouts even when you are out of the bike. Additionally, it boasts an electronic resistance system, meaning it can automatically adjust your intensity when using various cycling apps. Speaking of apps, the Echelon EX3 seamlessly works with popular ones like Zwift, Peloton, Echelon, Kinomap, Stave, and many more via the QZ app.
So, if the Echelon EX3 fits within your budget, I highly recommend considering it as a worthy alternative to the Yesoul S3. With its stability, advanced features, and app compatibility, it’s a top-notch choice for indoor cycling enthusiasts.

With a high-quality metal frame, it can hold 265-lb load weight. It is a lightweight bike that weighs less than 65 pounds with the frame fully assembled and can be easily moved from one place to another inside the house.
For relocating the YESOUL indoor bike after each spinning workout, the front base is equipped with two durable transport wheels. Another good feature of this YESOUL indoor cycling bike is its dimension that is pretty compact and don’t need too much space.
Thanks to its 4 adjustable stabilizer feet, you can perfectly level the bike on any type of surface including uneven floors. Additionally, the YESOUL spin bike features a durable powder coating that provides a nice exterior as well as protection against rust and scratch.
Monitor and Tablet Holder:
- Fitness spin bike comes without a bike computer.
- The bike includes a tablet holder and synchs your workout data via Bluetooth to your smart devices.
- Cadence, Watt (estimation), resistance level, time, distance and calories burned can be tracked via smart devices.
- This budget indoor cycling bike doesn’t have ANT/+ connectivity and currently doesn’t connect with Peloton.
There is no computer included with this magnetic exercise bike but it does allow you to track your progress on your own Bluetooth device. It would have been great if there was an optional computer but that’s not a huge deal, especially because the computer that often comes with these budget indoor bikes is trash. Thankfully this model has the Bluetooth connectivity that enables you to see your results on a bright Iphone or tablet screen to stay motivated and on pace.
Thankfully this Yesoul cycling bike comes with a good media shelf that can serve as a phone holder or tablet holder to help to keep you entertained. So, you don’t need to spend extra to buy additional exercise bike tablet holder unless you want to connect your computer to the bike.
Also, if you want to track and save your daily workouts and join spinning apps such as Zwift for more exciting rides, you don’t need to buy cadence and speed sensor. The bike is compatible with Zwift and it’s the Yesoul application which comes with free workout videos.
Pedals and Q-factor:
- This Yesoul bike features adjustable toe caged pedals.
- They are not clipless cycling shoes compatible (no SPD elements).
- This cycle has the standard 9/16″ pedal thread size.
- The q-factor is not disclosed.
The YESOUL magnetic indoor cycle has durable steel toe-caged pedals. They are designed with adjustable straps and buckle to fit for different size feet and keep them in place safely.
Unfortunately, they are not SPD compatible which means if you want to ride the bike with the clipless spinning shoes, you will need to replace the pedals. But it’s not a deal-breaker because the YESOUL indoor cycle trainer comes with 9/16″ thread size. Therefore, the SPD replacement pedals are widely available for as little as $40.
The company hasn’t released the q-factor information for this bike and we are still waiting to receive a confirmation for this aspect of the YESOUL belt drive magnetic exercise bike.
In case you are new to cycling, the q-factor is the distance between the pedals. The narrower it is, the better it is because it keeps your feet aligned with your knees and hips to minimize stress on the joints.
7-8 inches q-factor is considered good while less than 7-inch is great because it will help position your feet naturally on the pedals, which results in a healthy pedaling motion with zero lateral stress on the knees and ankles.
YESOUL Flywheel Weight:
- The YESOUL spinning bike flywheel weighs 10-pound ( it is lightweight but delivers a low-impact smooth pedal stroke).
- The flywheel is fixed and bi-direction which allows pedaling both directions with resistance.
- It has a sweat protection guard that protects the flywheel, bearings, and resistance.
The flywheel is a fairly light one, weighing 10-pound but it is not a huge issue because this spin bike has the magnetic resistance system and high gear ratio. As you can see in the images, the belt ring is pretty big compared to any spin bike I know of, in this price tag.
The large size of the belt-ring (creates high-gear ratio) and magnetic resistance help to provide a fast and natural pedal stroke even with the lightest flywheels. This is the same concept that Keiser M3i, one of the world’s most popular spin bikes is designed with (8-pound flywheel, high gear-ratio, and magnetic resistance).
The benefits of lightweight flywheel include low bearing maintenance because instead of 40-lb, there is only 10-lb weight/pressure on the bearings. Additionally, it makes the bike-weight lighter so you can easily move it around the house. But keep in mind that lightweight flywheel is only good when it is combined with magnetic resistance and high gear-ratio.
Yesoul ‘s flywheel is fixed and bi-directional, which means you can pedal in reverse as well as forward. The benefit of fixed-wheel (fixed-gear) is that you can double the number of workouts and by pedaling reverse stimulate different muscle groups. A disadvantage of fixed-gear is that you can not take a two-second break or immediately dismount the bike in case of an emergency unless the flywheel completely stops turning.
The flywheel is connected with the pedals so you will have to wait until the flywheel and pedals stop before you can get off the bike. There are a few indoor cycling bikes such as this Concept 2 Bike Erg and Life Fitness IC8 with the smart release (free-wheel) system. But they cost more than $1000.
Overall the YESOUL indoor cycle trainer produces a smooth pedaling experience thanks to the combination of the magnetic system, belt and the fast flywheel resulting in good stability and smoothness for the pedaling motion.
Eddy Current Resistance System:
- This Yesoul cycle has magnetic resistance to provide a smooth responsive ride.
- There are multiple strong magnets to create a challenging spinning exercise.
- Resistance is manually adjustable with the knob located on the frame. It’s not electric so it doesn’t automatically change on Zwift or Peloton.
- It has a press-down emergency braking system that allows for a quiet and safe stop when the flywheel is spinning very fast.
- This indoor cycle displays the resistance level from 1 to 100 to help you with the ride.
The selling factor of this YESOUL indoor cycling exercise bike is its silent magnetic resistance system. This indoor bike with magnetic resistance and belt drive is perfect for home cardio exercise.
Unlike competitors with little resistance, the YESOUL magnetic indoor cycling exercise bike has several large magnets to provide a smooth responsive ride by increasing the magnetic field resistance.
As I mentioned earlier in this YESOUL indoor cycling bike review, this bike is equipped with a manual magnetic resistance system. So, the resistance is controlled manually (not electronically).
In addition to quiet operation, the YESOUL spin bike resistance is also virtually maintenance-free, unlike bikes with friction resistance the resistance pad and the flywheel do not touch.
Therefore, the resistance does not wear out and you won’t have to go through the hassle of changing the brake pad like you would for a friction bike.
Unfortunately, the resistance knob doesn’t have levels specified on it. Therefore, you wouldn’t know the exact level or your previous level. But after a while of riding this spin bike, you will get a feeling of how much of a knob turn generate the resistance adequate to your training.
Lastly, the resistance also serves as an emergency brake; by pressing it down you can immediately stop the flywheel, which may be necessary in case of emergency or if you want to alternate normal with reverse pedaling sessions.
Belt Drive Transmission:
- Yesoul indoor cycle features belt-drive design for a quiet and smooth workout.
- This bike has a fixed-gear single belt direct drive mechanism.
In addition to a magnetic system, one of the aspects that I like about this YESOUL indoor bike is the belt drive. In fact, it is the combination of the belt with magnetic resistance that makes this cycle stand out from the crowd.
Featuring a high-quality belt drivetrain comes with several advantages. For example, it doesn’t require lubing so you wouldn’t have to deal with the mess that oil could make on your floor.
The other benefits include low maintenance because the belt is one piece unlike chain with 100+ little pieces. And last but not least, the belt does not generate as much vibration as the chain does, resulting in an extremely quiet and smooth spinning exercise.
YESOUL indoor cycling bike is made for indoor cycling workout for novice riders, therefore, it can not handle heavy commercial use. The crank arms are durable enough to support all cycling positions including off-the-seat standing spin workouts.
Handlebars and Seat Adjustments:
- Yesoul indoor cycling bike handlebars are 2-way adjustable.
- A phone holder is built-on the handlebars.
- It is a well-padded leather seat with a center cutout design for breathability and comfort.
- The seat and handlebar posts are not stainless steel but they are coated black to stand against corrosion.
- For vertical adjustment, this bike has levers which is easier to use than knobs.
This indoor cycling bike lacks in 4-way handlebar adjustment which means some users can not customize the bike correctly for their height. Currently, the only spin bike with magnetic resistance and 4-way handlebars adjustment under $300 is the MaxKare indoor cycle Black which you can find its full review on our website.
If you can afford the extra $60, I strongly advise you to go with that model. The 4-way adjustment allows a perfect bike setting and provides a safe and comfortable ride for all your family members.
The YESOUL spin bike comes with a media holder that makes it easy for you to have your phone on the bike to stream online or watch videos and enjoy a more exciting and fun workout.
The seat provided with the YESOUL exercise bike is well padded and more comfortable compared to many other competitors such as Echanfit indoor cycles in this price class. It is a relatively wide leather seat with a cut in the center to reduce the pressure and let the airflow to keep you cool and exercise longer.
It has several layers of soft padding and has two springs at the rear that considerably improve its overall cushioning and comfort. As for adjustment, YESOUL’s seat can be adjusted for all user heights from 5 feet to 6 feet tall. It is fore/aft up/down adjustable
Featuring a multi-grip urethane dipped handlebar design, your workout remains comfortable when riding for long periods of time. The aero bar adds several grip possibilities and allows you to change arm positions to engage different upper muscles and prevent wrist and arm aches and fatigue.
Value for Money and Warranty:
- The Yesoul spin bike is fulfilled by Amazon and sold by Yesoul Fitness (not other third-party retailers).
- This Yesoul magnetic indoor cycle has a lifetime free part replacement warranty.
- To order parts for this Yesoul bike under warranty, you can reach the company via Amazon or the email provided in the manual.
- The brand’s direct support email address is; support@yesoulfitness.com.
Considering all the features including the media holder, high-quality seat, magnetic resistance, belt system, and lifetime part replacement warranty, the Yesoul indoor cycling bike trainer is a great value for the money.
For $450 there are a very few other spinning bikes on the market that come with the mentioned features and a year free part replacement warranty. And the fact that YESOUL is covering this budget home use cycle for a one-year refund policy indicates its quality and value.
The generous warranty and return policy prove that it is not a cheaply made product and will last longer than competitors with a 90-day warranty. As for the parts under warranty or any other information in that manner, you can contact the seller on Amazon or the email address provided in the manual.
Note that Yesoul’s warranty doesn’t cover ordinary wear and tear or damage caused by improper use or accidents subject to the terms of our limited warranty. Which is common among all fitness equipment brands.
Shipping and Assembly:
- Yesoul magnetic spin bike belt drive comes mostly assembled.
- The package includes all the needed installation tools and the manual.
- Yesoul spin bike shipping is free.
- This bike ships in one box that weighs around 80 pounds.
This YESOUL indoor cycle comes with the required installation tools and assembly instructions to make the spin bike assembly process a piece of cake. So, you wouldn’t need to spend another $80 for that.
Most of the bike comes already assembled. The flywheel, the drive belt, the crank assembly, and the resistance mechanism are already attached to the mainframe.
Therefore, in terms of assembly, all you need to do is attach the front and rear base bars to the main-frame, install the seat and handlebar posts and finally the console and the pedals.
This shouldn’t take more than 30-40 minutes. The YESOUL indoor cycle manual will guide you through the assembly steps and thankfully the tools required for it are all included.
Note: Please pay attention to the pedal assembling, the left pedal needs to be screwed in counter-clockwise. As for the maintenance, a periodic check for loose bolts and parts is recommended.
The transmission is a belt (not a chain) so it does not require any lubrication. Other than this, wipe the sweat off the bike with the towel after the workout.
YESOUL Indoor Cycling Bike Pros:
Smooth and Silent Operation:
Thanks to the combination of durable belt and magnetic resistance, the YESOUL magnetic exercise bike is extremely smooth, quiet and needs very little maintenance. Unlike chain bikes, the belt is quiet and doesn’t need lubing, unlike friction bikes, the magnets are silent and don’t wear out.
Easy-Assembly:
The bike comes partially assembled, the transmission drive belt, the flywheel, the crank assembly, as well as the brake mechanism are already attached to the frame. So, you will just have to attach the base supports, handlebars, the seat, and finally the pedals which wouldn’t require more than half an hour. The Yesoul app included video instruction for assembly and the bike comes with clear instructions and the needed assembly tools to help you with the process.
Low-Maintenace:
YESOUL magnetic indoor cycle doesn’t require much maintenance except for a periodic check for the loosening parts and bolts.

YESOUL Indoor Cycling Bike Cons:
Handlebars:
Unfortunately, the YESOUL indoor cycling bike trainer lacks in 4-way adjustable handlebars. They are only vertically adjustable which means some riders may not be able to customize the bike for a comfortable spin exercise.
- No SPD elements on the pedals;
- Lightweight flywheel;
- The exact Q-factor information is not disclosed;
- Limited user height accommodation;
- Limited user weight capacity;
- No fitness monitor;
Hi! Would you mind telling me how you mounted your Surface on the bike, please? I have a 12.9 inch iPad and it doesn’t fit the provided mount. Yours looks great. 🙂
Hi Francisca, the surface tablet is fixed with sticky Velcro as it is too big for the holder!
Hello! Exactly! I was just wondering how exactly you did it so I could maybe try it as well? Did you “glue” your velcro or do you have some kind of contraption that enables you to add and remove it as you’d like without glueing anything to the tablet? I wouldn’t want to glue something to mine.. 🙁
Oh, sure! I didn’t express myself correctly, I wouldn’t want to stick the velcro on my case (never use the iPad without it, haha, so I forgot to mention it). It was quite expensive and I don’t really like the overall looks of the strips on its back. But that’s a great tip anyway, maybe I could buy a super cheap case and glue the velcro just for these occasions.
Thanks for taking the time to explain your method, have a great one!
Hi Francisca, you don’t glue anything to the tablet, you just need a case (preferably a hard case) and use hook and loop strips with adhesive to attach the case to the bike’s built-in shelf. This way you can remove the case or just the surface whenever you want. Use the velcros on the edges (vertical and/or horizontal) of the bike’s tablet holder and at the back of the Surface’s case.
You could use this case (“https://amzn.to/40diTSi”) and this velcro (“https://amzn.to/3KF9zRt”).
If you don’t want to glue anything or use a case, you can use this magnetic holder (“https://amzn.to/3mEUuY3”). You can attach the suction part to the bike’s holder and the magnet to the back of your tablet.
Oops, hadn’t read the last paragraph! Looks super cool as well, thanks!
I am glad to help
You can use the magnet holder for the car, kitchen, desk, and table so it’s pretty useful
